I Believe in Pillows

Cute huh? I made this for our counselor at school. She truly believes in every student and has more patience that is humanly possible. It comes from a deeper belief in a higher authority. I heart Nancy. I left the half square triangles like little pockets. I plan on making one with prairie points next.

Sedona

Beautiful Sedona! Here is a picture of the mountains from the front porch of the local quilt shop. The shop was bright and happy. Everything was displayed beautifully and the staff was helpful, not hovering. I found fabric for my in the planning stages beach quilt. I also found a nice house-cat sitting gift for my mom. My husband said that the shady porch was nice as well :)

Halloween Block Swap

I have my Halloween fabric ready to go! It is a 2 block swap, simple 9-patch and then something "themed". I chose the theme of "boo". After a few sketches, I have it all planned. I'm thrilled that another swap group was opened up!

Counting the Days

Today was my first official day of summer vacation. It started with a meeting at school, a rushed lunch, and a drive to UCLA Medical Center with my mom. Not one visit with my sewing machines. Didn't even touch a piece of fabric. It has to get better.
